Hi there!
I'm Heather -- and I'm a Seattle-based photographer specializing in natural portraits, including lifestyle and child photography, engagement photos, professional headshots, boudoir and beauty portraits.
My real joy in this creative adventure is getting those shots that punch me in the belly and make my breath catch in my throat. Sounds a bit dramatic (we artists are all a little dramatic, aren't we?), but it really is how I instinctively know when "I've got it." I want those Gut Punch Shots!
My other greatest joy is hearing, "(Gasp!) Is that really me?!" from a client when I give them a sneak peek at an image I've captured of them. The opportunity to try to help someone see their own beauty, feel glamorous, or capture the true essence of who they are --- those are the moments that make me love what I do.
And that's the beauty of digital photography. I shoot and shoot and shoot, so that we can be sure to get that Gut Punch Shot, those magic moments, that one photo (usually several photos) that makes you want to squeal. (Is that just me? Maybe you'll squeal on the inside.)
You don't want snapshots. You don't want hand-under-the-chin, awkward portraits you can get at a local department store. You want memories. And personality. And beauty. And LIFE.
And, if you'll let me, I'll do my best to capture just that.
